Pelvic health consultation & treatment
What does a pelvic health consultation involve?
It is a one hour specialist pelvic health assessment where I will listen to your concerns you have about your pelvic health and take a full history; I will carry out a whole body assessment and perform an internal pelvic examination.
I will discuss my findings with you and design and provide you with a tailored evidenced based treatment programme to optimise your pelvic function to achieve your goals.
Do I need a pelvic health consultation?
Every woman would benefit from a pelvic health consultation, whether you have concerns with your pelvic health or not. If you do have concerns a tailored treatment programme will be designed for you as described above. If you have no concerns I will design a bespoke prevent programme for you to optimise your pelvic function to help you prevent pelvic health conditions from occurring in the future.
I feel strongly that women should know how to optimise their pelvic health and prevent pelvic health conditions from arising just as much as I feel women should be able to access effective treatment to resolve any pelvic health conditions they may have. Please get in touch if you have any questions, I am happy to discuss these with you either over the phone or via email.
Mummy MOT
What is a Mummy MOT®?
It is a one hour post-natal assessment which will identify any problems arising from pregnancy and birth. In involves a whole body assessment as well as an in-depth check of your pelvic floor function and tummy gap.
From the assessment I will design a bespoke post-natal recovery programme especially for you, your lifestyle and fitness goals. This includes specific and safe post-natal exercises to improve stability, posture and core strength, to regain control and optimise function.
Who needs The Mummy MOT®?
Any woman from 6 weeks after having her baby would benefit from having a mummy mot.
After having a baby, many women will have weakness or may feel disconnected from their tummy or pelvic floor. This can lead to changes in bladder and bowel control, pelvic support & pelvic or back pain.
A Mummy MOT helps women avoid or resolve these symptoms with a bespoke rehabilitation programme.
